Best Hair

Good hair is one of the most important things a girl can have.  there are a million products out there to use and i have used many of them.  currently my favorite is Dove shampoo and conditioner.  my hair is shiny and healthy.
1.  Now if you don't have a good hairdresser to get a trim or cut occasionally then you must find one.  if your scared like i am then do what i did.  i called Regis in the mall and asked for an appointment with the manager.  yes, they do hair as well as manage the salon.  if there is no Regis in your area-- a manager of a salon will do nicely.
2.  One of the mistakes girls and women make is overwashing the hair.  it will become dull and lifeless.  wash no more than every two days.  it is good to let your hair get really dirty once in awhile too.   if you have to go to school or work keep it in a pony tail or curl it so no one will notice.  when i say really dirty i mean let it go for a whole week without washing it.  the best time for this is right after your period is over and done for the month; that way you won't break out on your face.     this natural oil will produce a high gloss that will not go away even after you wash it.  as Mick Jaggers longtime love Jerry Hall said "let it get dirty and it will stop getting dirty-er."
Now if this is just to gross to consider there is a good product out there to simulate your natural hair oils and bring high gloss and health to your hair.  it is called "Smooth Sheen" and it comes in a pink 14 oz. can.  it has castor oil and mink oil in it.  for damaged hair there is nothing better.  you will find it in the section of your drug store where they sell black hair products.  if you curl your hair with an iron after combing through the smooth sheen it is just like getting a hot oil treatment.  the heat really gets the oil to the core of the hair strand.   if you just can't stand the thought of having oil on your head then try the "infusium 23".  original formula is the best.  i like to use both (at different times, of course.)
3.  If your going to color your hair be sure to look at the box and find a match to your color and it should show the results after you color it.    if your hair is dark like mine you should have it professionally lightened.  just remember your hair will grow out and you will have to do the upkeep on the roots.
4.  If your going to experiment (god forbid) and you go to the beauty supply and buy bleach then make sure you get the kind that goes on the scalp and use no stronger than 20 volume peroxide or your head will burn like fire.  the on the scalp bleach will be white, not blue or purple.  the blue or purple type is for highlights only.  not for scalp use.
once you have bleached your hair or had your hairdresser do it for you.  then you must use a toner after to make it look natural.  almost any light blonde box color at the walmart will do.  just take your pick.   HINT the ash tones will remove to much of a red look.   in other words if your hair is bleached and your looking a little to red then buy the ash blonde color and it will remove the most red.  leaving the blonde behind.
5.  If your hair is bleached forget about ever getting a perm unless you want all your hair cut off.
6.  Don't use Henna dyes and then try to get a perm because your hair will fall out or break off completely.
7.  If you have used an ash toner (on your bleached hair)and your trying to get some red out (probably near the scalp am i right?) and the bottom part of your hair (which is normally white) turns gray---don't freak out and cut all your hair off.  this color on the bottom of your bleached hair will wash out after a few washings and eventually it will all blend after about 3 or 4 washings. (a couple days in between washings.)  and that color that looks like a dirty mop right after the coloring will be the most beautiful natural blonde you have ever seen.  and it will not be gray.
8.  if you have a bonnet dryer you can put a little mayonaise on your head and comb it through and then put on a plastic bag and sit under the bonnet dryer for about a half hour.  then wash your hair as usual.  this is supposed to help damaged hair and restore shine.  i have tried it.  it works but if you use to much mayo it will drip on your clothes while your under the dryer.
